What we're cooking
Brunch, fire and barbecue, morning through evening. We change things up often, so there's always something new to try.
imagine a waffle and a croissant having a food baby; a fresh viennoiserie dough, cooked to order in the waffle iron
our take on the typical hawker food you'd find in south east asia (or a market in kiwiland)
all burgers & sandwiches served in a brioche bun w/ fries or tater tots
One of the great traditions of bach life in Kiwiland is catching fish, deer, a pig or even a wallaby, then cooking it slowly over an open fire while sharing a few bevvies and stories with friends and whanau. Don't worry here though, we'll do the hunting and take care of the fire, but you have to do the eating and drinking. Almost every dish, including the veg, has been smoked or cooked over kanaku (fire).
Our food is made for sharing and it comes out as it's ready.
If you're hungry, most tables go for 2–3 plates per person to start — though the bigger dishes (beef rib tacos, tomahawk, smoked half chicken) can do the heavy lifting for two or three of you, so scale down from there. Not so hungry? Take 1–2 snacks, or order progressively and sit back. Eat as little or as much as you like. Stuck? Ask us — we'll sort you out.
all shakes are made to order with full fat milk and vanilla ice cream
Fancy more than one beer? Get 4 x 1/3 tap beers of your choice to sip through while you're waiting, eating & chatting.
for those adventurous folk... these are served in bottles or cans, with a fancy glass
