Tomahawk steak cooking over open flames at The Bach, Dundee

Brunch, fire & barbecue — Dundee

The
Bach

Brunch and good food barbecued over kanaku (fire). Great beer. Come as you are.

Fiercly independent & Kiwi

Fire, food, whanau

Back home in Aotearoa, a bach, pronounced “batch”, is a simple holiday home, away from it all — somewhere you go to slow down, eat well with whānau and friends, and not worry about anything much. We brought that feeling to Dundee.

Brunch and coffee have been at the core of what we do for 10 years now. Today, we also cook over kanaku, a lesser known word for fire in te reo Māori, because it’s what we grew up doing and it makes everything taste better. We cook what we love — food from everywhere we've lived, travelled and eaten over the years.

We don't care what you're wearing, so come grab a pew, and if you see us about, have a chat.
